George is a consultant for the Laboratory Medicine Division of the Pathology Department, University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine, where he provides lectures for pathology residents and for hematology and pathology fellows.

George is an associate professor on the faculty of Rutgers University and Michigan State University, where he provides web-based instruction in hematology and hemostasis. George also provides international seminars and webinars in hematology and hemostasis.

George holds a bachelor’s in biology and chemistry from Calvin College, Grand Rapids, Michigan, a Masters in Medical Technology from Wayne State University, Detroit, and advanced course work from Illinois State University and the University of Illinois at Chicago.
